Saket Court Complex, New Delhi
Establishment and Jurisdiction
The Saket Court Complex started functioning on Saturday, the 28th of August, 2010. Subsequently, all Civil and Criminal cases pertaining to the South District and South-East District, previously handled at the Patiala House Courts Complex, were transferred to the jurisdiction of the Saket Court Complex.
Inauguration
The Saket Court Complex was formally inaugurated by the Hon'ble Chief Justice of India, Mr. Justice S.H. Kapadia, on the 28th of August, 2010, marking a significant milestone in the judicial infrastructure of Delhi.
Premises and Infrastructure
The total land area encompassing the Saket Court Complex spans 16.592 Acres, which is strategically divided into distinct zones:
- Court Complex: Encompassing an area of 12.592 Acres, this zone houses the judicial and administrative functions.
- Residential Complex: Spread across 4.000 Acres, Residential Complex.
Court Buildings and Chambers
The Saket Courts Complex comprises three principal Blocks, accommodating a total of 128 Court Rooms and various essential Administrative Branches, detailed as follows:
